Our Captains Make The Difference!

A lot of things go into a successful day of big game fishing, the boat, the gear, the weather, the fish and most importantly the crew you spend your day with. Our crews have not only been fishing together for over 10 years but have been deeply involved in the building and maintenance of all of our boats.

Captain Vince Maggio retired from the navy as a command master chief. The experience and abilities that allowed him to build teams of sailors for the navy are apparent in the team he has put together at Monkey Biz Charters. All crew members are licensed captains and are well qualified in any aspect of running a charter boat, from setting the lure spread and leadering / gaffing a huge fish to jockeying the boat around on a "Marlin Gone Wild".

One of the things you will notice is the almost silent communication between crew members. This is only possible between fisherman that have fished together a lot and have a developed "a feel" for what their counterpart is thinking or about to do. Vinny, Brian and Shawn began fishing together in the early nineties when Brian and Shawn were kids that would rather fish than eat and Vinny took advantage of every day off from the navy to go fishing. Eric joined the team in the late nineties when the Monkey Biz fleet began to grow and become a reality.

All have enough fishing experiences to write a book and from classic one man battles from small boats to funny stories about their charter experiences, you will truely enjoy your day at sea with them.
